Strong Tomorrows with Children Project: Participants Strengthened Their Competencies and Erasmus+ Awareness

The “Strong Tomorrows with Children” project, coordinated by Asociación LEGO, is being implemented in Seville, Spain, from 08–14 October 2025 under the Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange programme with the reference number 2025-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000297708.

During the Youthpass sessions, participants learned about the purpose of the Youthpass certificate, its eight key competences, and the self-assessment process. Young people gained knowledge about how to evaluate the skills, knowledge, and experiences acquired throughout the project while also learning how to monitor their personal development more consciously. This process enabled participants to better understand their learning outcomes and explore ways to use them in their educational and professional careers.

As part of the programme, participants took part in group discussions focusing on child protection systems, the needs of children under protection, and activities that could support their social inclusion. Young people from different countries exchanged ideas, discussed the challenges faced by children, and developed possible solutions while reflecting on the social impact of volunteering activities. In this way, the project strengthened participants' sense of social responsibility and encouraged them to develop a more sensitive and informed perspective on children's well-being and future opportunities.

Creative and interactive activities also allowed participants to explore the Youthpass competences through practical learning methods. Working in teams, young people expressed different competences using creative approaches and connected these concepts to real-life situations. These methods made the learning process more engaging and memorable while also supporting the development of communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.

Another important part of the programme focused on raising awareness about the Erasmus+ Programme. Participants received detailed information about the educational, volunteering, mobility, and personal development opportunities available through Erasmus+. Young people with previous Erasmus+ experience shared their stories and insights, inspiring other participants and demonstrating the positive impact of international projects on personal growth.

Through creative role-playing and evaluation activities, participants examined the priorities and values of the Erasmus+ Programme from different perspectives. These interactive learning methods enabled young people not only to gain knowledge but also to better understand key Erasmus+ principles such as inclusion, equality, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship.

As a result of the activities, participants became more aware of their own competencies and gained a clearer understanding of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme. At the same time, they increased their awareness of child rights, social responsibility, volunteering, and active citizenship, while gaining motivation to take a more active role in future initiatives that contribute to society.
